<br />
Compare header (<ram> attribute values and everything within <ramheader>) to a model header for a similar document (e.g. 1-1870.1stedn.rad or 1-1847.morgms.rad). Check for the absence of typical data: <br />
__ <ram> attribute values: archivetype, type, id, metatype, workcode, version, image<br />
__ <sourcedesc> descriptive data<br />
__ <title><br />
__ <author><br />
__ <imprint> or <msprod> data<br />
__ <provenance><br />
__ <physicaldesc><br />
__ introductory commentary: <profiledesc>, <commentaries>, <section type=“intro”> <br />
__ Spelling<br />
__ Logic of argument. (Are the main points clear? Does the argument rely on presumptions that readers don’t share or does the argument need further evidence?)<br />
<br />
Review logical structure of <text>: is their proper nesting and sequencing of ...<br />
__ <front>, <body>, <back><br />
__ <titlepage> and subordinate elements<br />
__ <div> elements<br />
__ <p> elements<br />
__ <lg> and <l> elements<br />

<br />
Check attribute value for <div>, <p>, <lg> and <l> elements<br />
__ type<br />
__ number<br />
__ indent<br />
__ image<br />
<br />
Transform the file to display in the browser (ctrl+shift+T).<br />
__ Check the overall visual appearance of the display.<br />
__ Check the image links and all hyperlinks to see if they work and display properly.<br />
__ Do all <xrefs> have a corresponding hyperlink?<br />
__ If not, do such <xrefs> point to files we have in SOURCE? If so, make corrections. If not, add link=“dead”.<br />
__ Carefully compare the image and the rendered transcription. Fix any errors you find in the tagging, parse, save, and re-transform.<br />
__ Verify the accuracy of the transcription with a partner.<br />
<br />
__ Save the file back over the old copy in SOURCE (ctrl+S, or use the Oxygen icon). BEWARE!!! Use of the icon can cause you to save your file over other files. Use caution!<br />
__ Fill out the check list and file it in the RAD Proofing binder.<br />
